Ten minutes horse ride west of Baregate is Baregate church.

A stone structure, tall with pointy roof set into the backdrop of the Barrier Mountains behind it. A stone fence surrounds the land around it. The lawn is pristine, cared for by the monks. Around the back of the church is an extensive vegetable, grape, and honey garden. Flour is delivered to the monks on carts daily and bread is sold back to the city. Crows frequent the grounds and get along well with the monks. Fresh bread, jam, wine, and ale are produced here. This is the primary source for all of these things in the region and even as far south as Brekstrand.
