Summary

An ogre is a large humanoid creature known for their appetite for human children. Ogres are seen a an immediate threat to almost every other creature and therefore are almost always met with hostility.

Origin

Ogres are almost always mountain dwelling creatures. The Barrier Mountains are said to host many tribes, but not much is known about them or how many there really are. Although rare ogres do appear in swampland and can be identified by their greenish skin color.

Ogres do well at keeping themselves hidden from creatures who are not allied with them, which is most other creatures. There are no known alliances between ogre tribes and any other creatures, however single ogres have been known to befriend other creatures from time-to-time.

Appearance

An ogre's skin is often similar to the environment they live in, but this color adaption is developed over many generations, so it is slow to change. Mountain ogres (which most of them are) develop a tan or brown skin, while the more rare swamp ogres usually have a greenish tint to their skin color.

Hair length varies, though most will grow long hair on their heads and braids or trinkets can be seen decorating their long hair.

Being between 8 and 10 feet tall, Ogres are said to be a man-and-a-half and sometimes even referred to as giants. However, they are not related to giants.

Diet

Meat is the primary food source for ogres, and they will eat absolutely any kind of meat they can find, even other ogres. Although they are known to have a taste for young humans it is a rare meal for them due to the danger in finding and hunting one down.
