====Summary====
The anglerpotamus is a [[:category:creature| creature]] which looks a lot like a hippopotamus sporting the bait of an anglerfish, however, it is neither a hippo or a fish. The anglerpotamus is a marine mammal who uses a unique method to catch its food. On the end of a long appendage it grows a fruit like object called a [[Potopome]] which indeed can be consumed, but once picked it triggers and intense sensation in the animal and causes it to lunge forward, mouth agape.

Although often found in small freshwater ponds and lakes the anglerpotamus can also be found along the ocean shore as well as swamps.

Baregate is a city located east of [[Corcoran's Slash]] on the northern cliffs of the [[Barrier Mountains]]. It's famous for [[Baregate
Church]] where a majority of the region's ale comes from.

Constructed of dark brown stone, the city matched the backdrop of the Barrier Mountains behind it. Its gates and half of its buildings were built on the flat, rocky ground at the base of the cliffs, while the other half grew up the side of the cliff like a moss climbing the side of a tree. Farms and trades folk surrounded the area in front of the wall which stood tall with a barbican in the center.

Pondford is a small fishing village west of [[Corcoran's Slash]] north of the [[Barrier Mountains]]. Pondford is known to be a small town populated with country folk, fishermen and farmers, who view life differently than the big city folks. Although Pondford does have some nobility it is generally only a few families total. The city survives financially on their export of fish but also has a host of farms for feeding of their own citizens.
Pondford is one of two cities in the "northern realm" as some call it. The other city is [[Baregate]].

Owlcats are [[:category:creature|creatures]] that are commonly used as pets. They are great hunters of rodents but have a tendency to wander for days on end and when they are at home they mostly ignore their owners. The problem with owlcats is that they are such good hunters that they rarely need an owner. Owlcats will use their owners homes, mostly, for a safe place to care for their young.

=====Breeding=====
Breeding owlcats is a relatively common undertaking. Although they reproduce without issue on their own it's best to breed them in order to develop a connection with the creature. When the babies are born they are taken away from their mother almost immediately and cared for directly by their future owner. They are given [[rabbit]] or [[batbit]] [[milk]] because it contains a higher amount of protein and fat than owlcat [[milk]] and is easier to obtain.
